KERALA LABOUR MOVEMENT
The Labor Movement promoted in the Diocese a decade ago by CSSS has become emulative for other Social Service Societies in the State which are now remaining federated under the organizational entity named Kerala Labour Movement(KLM). The Cochin union of KLM presently covers more than 10000 workers organized into Self Help Groups and to a certain extent enrolled as Trade Union Members. In this respect , the Diocesan KLM unit holds the distinction of initiating an independent and apolitical Trade Union namely Swathanthra Nirmana Thozhilali Union(SNTU) under the relevant Government Act and presently the area coverage of the same remains broadened encompassing the entire State of Kerala. Starting with unorganized construction workers, the sphere of labor welfare service and promotional involvements of the Diocesan Labour unit have been gradually broad-based to cover other unorganized occupational segments also like Coir workers, Fish workers, Tailoring workers, Artisans, Domestic workers, etc. To sum up, the salient features of the Diocesan labor organization may be highlighted as democratic functioning, positive social outlook, transparency, worker�s discipline, innovation, education & training, thrift & credit, family participated supplementary income generation activities, pension schemes, insurance, etc.
PLESION SOCIAL CENTER
The Regional Social Center of CSSS at Thankey, named as PLESION SOCIAL CENTER, was inaugurated on 1st Septenber 2008.The center is emerging as a focal point in the southern region of the diocese for the women groups and other community based organizations to assemble for learning and functional capacity building.
The regional center (PLESION SOCIAL CENTER) of CSSS at Thankey has been developed to function also as Training cum Resource center of Coir and Coir based products. The training center have the recognition of Coir Board With tacit undertaking of collaboration with regard to lending out professionals for training and transfer technology. Already 12 batches of 20 each completed training in mechanized Coir making and manufacturing process.
JUBILEE DRIVING SCHOOL
(GOVT AFFILIATED)
The Driving School is the ancillary unit of the Jubilee Industrial Training Centre placed under the category of Functional Vocation Training Program. Driving of light motor vehicle, three wheelers and two wheelers come under the purview of the training program. The Driving School also prepares the trainers for the driving test for getting license. More than 100 persons get trained every year and become licensed drivers from the Jubilee Driving School

KOLPING COMPUTER CENTER
Among the diocesan Social Service Organizations, CSSS holds the distinction of promoting computer education as early as in 1990s beginning with its staff and eventually making it a standardized programme for the students community around. Later, in 2006 the computer centre received facelift with latest systems and advanced version introduced. Since then the centre is renamed as Kolping computer centre, cherishing the name of the great Adolf Kolping, a world renowned social worker.

JUBILEE MEMORIAL TECHNICAL TRAINING CENTER
(PERMANENTLY AFFILIATED TO NCVT GOVT OF INDIA)
The Industrial Training Centre functioning in the same complex of CSSS is as old as the Society itself, but still holding on to its relevance as a reputed institution in imparting technical/vocational skills training to the youth. Presently the courses conducted on regular basis are in Fitter and X-Ray Welding Trades.
